Tips for posting content to the blog
Everyone is invited to share their thoughts and ideas connected to the event. This post explains how you can do that. Basically, if you can type an email, you can post content to the Creative New Jersey blog. Any content posted here also shows up on the Creative New Jersey Facebook and Twitter accounts.
How to post by email tutorial
Tips for posting by email
- Attach photos, documents, videos. Posterous elegantly handles any media files you can throw at it. Got a YouTube video? Just paste in the link and Posterous embeds the video for you. Flickr slideshow? Paste in the url of the slideshow and Posterous embeds it for you. Sweet.
- Add tags to your post by email (and bookmarklet) by entering them in the subject line: ((tags: New York, food)).
- Strip out your signature by ending your post with #end. Posterous won't post anything after that text.
- Add a page break to your post by using #more. Anything before #more will appear on your site, and the entire post (everything before and after #more) will only appear on the post page.
- When more editing is needed before a post goes public, you can email private@posterous.com to create a private post by email. I use this when I want to arrange the photos differently than when Posterous does by default. Only people with contributor accounts have this option of editing online.
- Schedule posts. Write it now, publish it later.
